How to run a business, when you have no business running a business!!!!

Dr. Holly Fitzgerald is the owner and President of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates with locations in both Melrose and Woburn, MA. In 2002, she was suddenly and unexpectedly given the opportunity to own her own business. She loved physical therapy and had a passion for what she did, but had zero experience actually running a business. In 2010, Holly found herself struggling, was $70K in debt and barely making payroll off her personal credit card (don't ever do this BTW!).

Today, Fitzgerald Physical Therapy is a thriving business growing year over year projected to do over $1.5 million dollars in gross sales in 2020. Holly now has 10 PT's and additional staff. Her Woburn location is expanding and Fitzgerald PT is currently looking to diversify into other local areas. Holly recently took her first vacation in several years with her family and the company away for a weekend - all expenses paid.

Holly has been practicing Orthopedic physical therapy in the greater Boston area since 1997. The birth of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy, more than 15 years ago, developed from the desire to be “big enough to serve you, small enough to care.” Holly is a 1997 graduate from Ithaca College with her BS in Clinical Science and her MS in Physical Therapy. She later went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Northeastern University.
