The Melrose Alliance Against Violence (MAAV) will celebrate its 25th Anniversary this fall with a combination of virtual and socially-distanced, in-person events. The Annual Walk Against Violence will take place over the weekend of October 24-25. Walk anytime over the weekend by yourself, with a friend, your family or small group. Walk route goes through downtown Melrose and around Ell Pond. Registration: We are asking everyone to register this year at www.maav.org. Basic registration is free. Upon registration you’ll receive a map of the route including an interactive “treasure hunt” of 25 items along the route. 25th Anniversary Domestic Violence Awareness bracelets are available online, or at the following local businesses on Main Street in Melrose: Beacon Hill Wine &Gourmet, Halo Studio and Miter Biter Frame Co.
