March is White Ribbon Month, representing a global effort focused on engaging men and boys as allies in prevention and ending violence against women and girls. MAAV and our partners at WAAV and SAAV are honored to host a talk with Malcolm Astley of the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund. In sharing his story of his daughter Lauren, who was lost to break up violence in 2011, Dr. Astley will talk about healthy masculinity, allyship and how to prevent break up violence. All are welcome and teens in grade 8 and above are welcome to attend as well.
