The 30th Annual Candlelight Vigil and Walk to End Domestic Violence is MAAV’s largest and longest-standing fundraising event. The Vigil honors the lives lost to domestic violence during the past year and is followed by a 2-mile family friendly walk which signifies our community coming together to break the cycle of violence. The event typically draws approximately 500 attendees from Melrose and surrounding communities. This year’s event will be extra special as MAAV celebrates and recognizes its 30th anniversary.
All proceeds from this event benefit MAAV’s programming and support. MAAV invests directly back into the Melrose community by providing 800+ K-12 MPS students with Healthy Relationship programming and peer mentor/prevention work. MAAV also supports over 80 survivors with resources and care so they find safety and live free of violence.
